Zoomorphic Clay Vessels

These are student examples from a Zoomorphic Clay Vessels lesson I created when teaching Sculpture. The lesson focused on investigating the figurative ceramic vessels of Mexican, Mesoamerican, and South American indigenous cultures. I also explored with my students the use of traditionally available pigments (white slip and iron oxide wash) and decorative techniques in their pieces.
